CONGRATULATIONS! Whatever you are doing to help Dunham Tavern Museum is working. The Board members are getting nervous about having opposition.
Today, Friends of Dunham Tavern were standing on the sidewalk at Dunham Tavern Museum, offering flyers to people driving out of the parking lot.
The drivers turned out to be Dunham Board members, one of whom said:
"You can't keep doing this. We're going to take legal action."
(Well, they can’t, as people are allowed to stand on the sidewalk, it is public space.)
Another asked if we were “the people paid to protest”.
(No, we are not paid. We are just like you and are trying to stop this sale because we care about the community’s history, we care about the environment and we care about our children and future generations.)
Anyway, this “threat” of legal action by the Board is a very good sign. It means THAT YOU ARE HAVING IMPACT ! The Dunham Tavern Museum Board will not change their minds, but Cleveland Foundation Board has the power to back out of the purchase of Dunham Land. And, you can change their minds.
Please give Dunham Tavern Museum 2 minutes of your time and DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN to get others to sign this petition, share the petition on Facebook, or to write to the Cleveland Foundation Board, at the email addresses listed below, and ask Cleveland Foundation NOT TO BUY Dunham Land.
