Jackson, MS – 02/21/2025 – Clemell Bogan Jr.'s family and his lawyers are pushing hard to appeal his wrongful conviction. Clemell, from Mississippi, has been caught up in a legal mess since April 2020, and many things about his case just don’t add up.

One big problem has been delays with the court transcripts that are needed for his appeal. These important documents were turned in late, which has messed up the timing of his appeal. Clemell's lawyer had to step in and file a legal motion because the person responsible for the transcripts didn’t do their job on time.

This appeal is super important because there were a lot of mistakes made during his trial, like mishandling evidence and not following proper legal steps. Clemell’s legal team is working to get his conviction overturned because of these issues.

Clemell’s sister, Clemisha, said, "We won't stop fighting for Clemell. The problems we’re seeing in his case show that something’s not right, and it’s bigger than just Clemell—it's about making sure everyone gets a fair chance in our legal system."

The family really appreciates all the support from the community as they try to clear Clemell’s name. They believe that once everything is reviewed properly, Clemell will be proven innocent.
