Clean up the Tenderloin and provide more sanitation workers

The Issue

Currently, the San Francisco government—specifically through the SF Public Works Department—employs individuals to clean the city streets and remove waste. City legislation, social norms, and citizens’ actions all dictate the success of sanitation efforts in certain regions like the Tenderloin. By demonstrating the collective power of students and San Francisco residents and petitioning for more direct sanitation efforts in the Tenderloin, we hope to encourage the creation of new sanitation job opportunities and promote increased attention and care for a district that is rich with diversity.
