CLEAN UP REDFERN

CLEAN UP REDFERN
The issue
REDFERN has become a dumping ground for all types of rubbish.
•The streets are strewn with litter, discarded household items and waste from businesses. •Public parks, reserves and car parks have rubbish bins (many have none) that are inadequate and are not emptied regularly
•Rubbish and debris accumulates in privately owned vacant lots throughout the suburb
•Nature strips for which the council is responsible are not maintained
•Increased numbers of rats in public areas and residential streets
We demand that City of Sydney councillors support our demands for an immediate improvement in the provision of garbage and waste management collection service to Redfern.
We also demand a commitment from the COS to allocate resources for an immediate clean up of the Redfern area to address the issues outlined above.
The residents of Redfern deserve the services that they pay for and that are not being adequately provided by City of Sydney.
