Hello friends, I would like to update you all that your sign and support to the cause of #CleanKharadi is slowly bringing the change we need. Garbage burning has reduced significantly. Streets are somewhat cleaner and residents are more vigilant. The cause is getting the attention it deserves. Please see the news coverage in Pune Mirror below. I am very happy to report that the weekly cleaning drive in Kharadi is gaining momentum. Every Sunday morning from 7 am to 8 am residents of Kharadi gather on a pre-decided location and start cleaning the roads, footpaths, and open plots. Lot of amazed passers by are asking what is going on. Small shop owners to tea vendors are joining the cause and lending the helping hand. Young teens are participating enthusiastically and coming up with innovative ideas to educate the residents.
