Email correspondence from a Corporate Executive Customer Relations representative of Altice USA
The below is a portion of an email I received after speaking with a corporate customer relations agent. This enforces the fact that customers are coerced into paying or using their services till the end of the month, whether or not they require those services. Help me to change this policy by spreading the word of this petition through any social media sites you may be a part of. Thank you for your support.
Your monthly subscription begins on the first day following your installation date and automatically renews thereafter on a monthly basis beginning on the first day of the next billing period assigned to you until cancelled by you. The monthly service charge will be billed at the beginning of your assigned billing period and each month thereafter unless and until you cancel your Service. Payments are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods. Also, customers who choose to return their equipment early, they can continue to use our out-of-home services, such as: the TV to Go networks that they can watch on their mobile devices; Suddenlink WIFI’s more than 1.5 million hotspots, as well as Cable WIFI hotspots; Suddenlink e-mail; and access to News12.
When a customer contacts Suddenlink to disconnect their service, our representatives are instructed to remind the customer that their services will be disconnected on the last day of the then-current billing period.
