Just a quick update to let you know what happened at the Council Meeting on April 6th.

We made a solid deputation to Council, accompanied with an expert environmental lawyer.

Our lawyer gave Council all the necessary arguments to demand a full Environmental Assessment. He also provided a well-researched Holding By-law draft to ensure that no mega projects proceed until our planning and environmental studies are done.

Sadly, all Council did was refer the matter to their staff and allow the Mayor to say: "we are ill-informed”.

This is not the end. What we do today will affect many generations to come and we are not giving up.
