I will hand deliver the beaver petition to the City of Gaithersburg and request that the no-kill no-transport beaver policy be placed on the official agenda. If the council agrees, that means that real dialogical discourse can take place on a future date. We have a shot at enacting positive change. Everyone who comes will have up to three minutes to speak. If you want to be brief and say little more than supporting the no-kill no-transport policy, it would be a tremendous benefit. It matters more to be there in person than anything else. If I'm the only one there, likely nothing good will come of it. If at least 10 of us are there, chances are high that we can save both future beaver colonies and also our landscape from property damage. A real win-win for everyone. A permanent solution we can all be proud of.
