On Mar 23, 2023, the Winnipeg city council voted unanimously to change Bishop Grandin Blvd to Abinojii Mikanah, a name recommended by the city's Indigenous Relations Division. This was a long time coming and had many people from the community and/or in government leading the push for change. Thanks everyone for your support of this petition and for showing the City of Winnipeg that we care strongly about honouring and remembering residential school survivors and the children who never returned home.
