Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to read and sign this petition. I have received so much positive support and very little negative feedback so far.

The City of Welland Counsellors are meeting tomorrow for and Backyard Chickens will officially be on their agenda. This is great progress for us but we still need to make sure council votes in favour of allowing residents to keep their backyard hens.

I encourage all Welland residents to write to your counsellor to tell them that you are in favour of backyard hens for the reasons outlined in my petition as well as any personal reasons you may have.
