Thanks for all your actions! Here is an update.
The City continues to take advantage of the COVID restrictions to push through many controversial issues in the month of July that impact character house retention and neighbourhood character. These policies are in conflict with neighbourhood-based planning.
1. New Petition on City-wide Rezonings covers policies that includes rezonings that impact heritage and character houses and neighbourhood character without context. This includes spot rezonings for towers and other out of scale development.
- Please sign petition HERE and share.

2. Missing Middle Pilot Motion - Postponed to July 21, for larger MIRHPP towers & broad spot rezonings in RS/RT zones, city-wide. This pre-empts the Vancouver Plan and neighbourhood-based planning that creates out of scale development without any neighbourhood context and puts character houses & heritage at more risk.
Please send emails to Council to oppose this motion, even if it is only one line, before Tuesday July 21 @ 9:00 am. See Motion HERE.

3. Spot rezoning apartments in transition zones city-wide, part of the rental incentive program, is back for public consultation, with referral to public hearing in Sept.
It includes all RS, RT and RM zones near arterials as specified.
