Mobile vending today is a substantial departure from the vending assumed in outdated Ybor City regulations.

Not only does mobile vending play a significant and historical role in the rich cultural heritage of our beloved Ybor City, it has the potential to enrich the historic preservation of our neighborhood and once again engage the creative entrepreneurship we were founded on. 

This is why we have created this petition.

We're not asking for a blanket allowance or a return to the chaos of the mid-late 90's. Require vendors to apply for permits and allow the Barrio Latino Commission to approve the historic look and feel of the mobile vendors if you must, but it is time to reevaluate this outdated ordinance.

We can all be a part of making Tampa's most unique, historic, and walkable neighborhood much better!
