Council Decision Deferred

The City of Sydney has deferred the development application by the owners of the Cambridge Inn Hotel so that they can adjust the proposal to be more sensitive to the surrounding neighbourhood. Specifically, the Planning and Development Committee has indicated that the main entry should be located on Riley Street and the upper building envelope will require modification to address concerns regarding noise, shadowing and proximity. This is a great first-round win for objectors and residents, but we must remain vigilant to ensure that the revised proposal adequately addresses all concerns that have been raised.
