Opposition in zoning change from R1>R2 at the top of Colin and Mountain Ave. Bluebell

The Issue

This is a petition in opposition of the zoning change request on the parcel of land at the top of Colin Ave, and Mountain Ave. in Bluebell Subdivision from R1 Single Dwelling to R2 "Low Density" Residental.  It is believed that this change will severely impact property value, remove trees and natural resources in the area for wildlife and other uses, and increase traffic.

This neighbourhood is one of the oldest most established neighborhood in the city, and this will change this drastically modify the character of this area.  We have been cherished by the surrounding of trees and wildlife and quiet traffic to raise a family and fill the area of children, dogs, cats, pets, and mix the city life with the country and we do not want this to change. There has to be other areas in the city for this type of development.  We are already very saddened by the work being done on Fox Lane, and do not want this to repeat deeper into the subdivision where a number of multiple family buildings will erect where it can be rented out temporarily.

This will be sent to the city upon completion.  Everyone attend the meeting  Jan 25/6:30pm @ City Hall.
