Dear supporters of Save the Market Entrance, Thank you for signing the petition to preserve the Hahn Building and the beautiful symmetry of the Market’s entrance at Pike and First. Thanks to you, we have received more than 12,000 signers and the City of Seattle has received dozens of letters. The third meeting of the Design Review Board is next Tuesday night. These are public meetings because the decisions about new developments in the City are supposed to be in the public’s interest and reflect the public’s desires. That’s why it’s so important for people to continue to express themselves directly to the City of Seattle. We have heard from the public loud and clear that you do not want to see a 14-story hotel adjacent to the Pike Place Market historical district. We need to make sure the City hears you too! This project does not have public support, and the review board should not approve it.   If you are in Seattle, please attend the design review meeting. Whether you speak or not, your presence sends a strong message. April 3, 2018 at 7:00 pm Seattle City Hall - 600 5th Ave - Room L280 If you are outside Seattle or can’t attend the meeting, please send an email to the City. It's fast, easy and important. Your email becomes part of the public record about this project. Just tell them why you think the Market entrance should be preserved. Want to be inspired? Visit the quotes page on our website! Email your comments to the City’s Public Resource Center at prc@seattle.gov (reference project #3028428 - 103 Pike) and Council Member Sally Bagshaw, who represents the Market: sally.bagshaw@seattle.gov Thank you for your time and consideration! Want to know how the meeting goes? We'll post to our Facebook page. Stay tuned...
