Dear Holiday Express Supporters, It is with great excitement and optimism that we announce the formation of our non-profit organization, “The Friends of the Holiday Express”. Our mission is "the preservation of the Holiday Express for our families, friends, and neighbors to make a positive and enduring impact in Richardson, TX and surrounding communities". In the coming weeks, we will be launching a fundraiser for the 2017 Holiday Express Season. The purpose of this will be to raise the funds necessary for operating the Holiday Express next year, including site preparation, electricity, maintenance, transportation, insurance, etc. The bigger goal of purchasing the train will be addressed at a later time. For now, we are seeking qualified individuals who are interested in donating their time to help with the following: legal compliance, financial records maintenance, local promotions and networking, site identification (for 2017 season), and train inspection/inventory. Prior experience with running non-profits, promotions/advertising, event planning, or mechanical/electrical engineering would be most helpful to us.
