City of Port Phillip Council will vote on the new proposal on Wednesday 23rd October. This new proposal merely pays lip service to the demands of the heritage protection, demolishing over 60% of the heritage listed buildings of 3 and 5 Tiuna and dramatically reducing their footprint so that a new massive building can wrap around behind them from No. 1.
Despite multiple failures of this proposal to meet the demands of the Planning Scheme, Council Officers look set to recommend that Council approve it, which would leave only the residents to battle on at VCAT in December.
To inform Council of how the residents and friends of Elwood feel about saving its heritage property, we started this new petition.
