Number 3 Tiuna Grove (pictured in the previous update) and 5 Tiuna Grove are currently subject of a demolition application before council, to make way for this development.  These properties have previously been identified as having contributory heritage value and council officers have acknowledged that their exclusion from the heritage overlay seems to be an anomaly, and is worthy of review.  However that review is not scheduled to take place until 2020/2021.

It has also been revealed that the applicant was informed more than a year prior to their purchase of the properties that such a review was intended, with the potential of subsequent inclusion in the heritage overlay.

Yesterday, in an interview in Domain, The Mayor of The City of Port Phillip, Dick Gross, admitted that it seems that it was a mistake not to include these properties in the heritage overlay in the first place.  Read the article at the attached link.
