You may have heard a few months ago that a subcommittee of the Phoenix Parks Board voted to ban the holiday tree on Camelback Mountain in December. The Phoenix Parks Board will decide on this matter at their Thursday, August 24th hearing in City Hall (521 West Jefferson) at 5pm. We need at great turnout of tree supporters at this meeting because the board almost always accepts the recommendations of their subcommittee. Therefore, we have revived the online petition in the hope demonstrating support from people who are unable to attend the meeting. It would be awesome if five or even ten thousand people signed this; will you please share this petition and ask three or more of your friends to do the same in order to save the holiday spirit in the greater Phoenix area? Also, if you are Phoenix resident, please reach out to the Mayor and your city council person and ask them to lobby the Parks Board to permit the tree! It makes a big difference!!
