From Camelback Santa: "URGENT--WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY!!! On this coming Monday, May 22, at 6pm there will be a public hearing on making the Christmas/Holiday tree on Camelback an exception to the policy of the Phoenix Parks Dept. to prohibit any park monuments. SEND AN EMAIL TO: matthew.smith@phoenix.gov , who will share your message with the Phoenix Sonoran Preserves and Mountain Parks/Preserves Committee, which will make a recommendation to the Parks Dept. Board. If you send an email, explain why you support the tree tradition, and be sure to mention you are a Phoenix resident, if that is the case. IF YOU CAN MAKE THE TIME, PLEASE ATTEND THE MEETING --EVERYONE who shows up will have 2 minutes to voice their support (or opposition) to the tree tradition.
