The City of Perth should continue to provide the funding necessary for Telstra Perth Fashion Festival to stage 10 free public events in Perth CBD this year, showcasing more than 25 local fashion retailers through a program known as Fashion Central.

Fashion Central brings people into the city, supporting local retailers and making Perth a more vibrant city.  Plus, it provides jobs and opportunities for young designers and many other creatives involved in the fashion industry.

The City of Perth administration has recommended that the funding for this program be slashed.  Perth needs more events like Fashion Central, not fewer.  Please sign our petition to show your support, as the City's commissioners consider whether Council should continue to support this event like it has in the past.
