Sup y'all,
Not much progress has been made, but I have been given an update. Things are still not set in stone so I won't be giving much detail, but this is NOT dead in the water. 3 locations have been scoped out for this potential indoor skatepark, 2 of them fell through (1 didn't have a sufficient parking lot size, 2 had other plans and didn't meet the zoning requirements), the 3rd location is kind of a last resort. The 3rd location isn't in the middle of nowhere, but it is in a bit of a weird spot. Either way, having an indoor skatepark will naturally bring people to that location and get it well known, you definitely could bike there, skate there, bus there, etc. but it is kind of on the border of Oshawa and Whitby. Pricing from insurance came back, it was a little bit more than the investor(s) expected but they said it is not a total game changer. That is all the info I have for you guys at this time. I will ask once again for your patience because this process has and will continue to be somewhat lengthy, but we still have our eye on the prize and I am very thankful to have run into an investor that is very understanding and interested in making this happen.
All the best,
Kris Handson, Founder of Progression Skateboard Co.
