I lost my mother Mercedes Sarmiento on 3/18/19 to a hit and run in the intersection of SW 44 Avenue and South West 8 Street. Last night I got the news that yet another person lost their life in the same intersection to yet another Hit and run. From the neighbors I’ve gathered that there has been 9 deaths so far. 2 deaths in less than a year. 

IM ASKING FOR THIS PETITION FOR THE CITY TO PUT IN A CROSSWALK. The people in that area have been asking for this for years without answers. 

I need everyone to sign make a plea to the city. Something has to Change. We can’t have yet another death to the traffic and the way people drive in that area. 

I've sent an email to the city but, I do not think that this is everything that needs to be done. I need the communities assistance to get this crosswalk up and running for them. 

So please sign and share help me get thousands of signatures so we can be heard. So we do not have to lose another loved on to a pedestrian accident.
