There've been a number of articles and a couple TV interviews, including Global, CTV, and apparently the Whig. Unfortunately, it's clear from the articles and their comments that the petition is not always being portrayed accurately. So far, no publication has actually mentioned the location of the petition, my name has been misspelled despite being on the petition, and several statements indicate the petition wants the park open to the general public. I guess if we want people to know about it, it's up to us to ensure accuracy.

The petition now has the direct attention of Mayor Paterson, President & CEO of Kingston Health Sciences Centre David Pichora and the Department of Recreation & Leisure Services for Kingston. Various forms of the press are also aware of the petition and its matching proposal.

Today, Ontario added over 4,700 new cases and forecast up to 18,000 cases per day by the end of May. Not a time to allow crowded gatherings near a hospital. So it looks like the temporary re-purposing of the park is a reasonable proposition.

Below are the links to the Global and CTV articles. The articles tell you what people are hearing, the comments tell you what they are saying and feeling as a result.
