Hi everyone! Thank you so much for your support in our mission to get lights at Newtown Park. The support from the community has greatly exceeded our expectations, and in fact we've hit nearly 400 signatures on the petition in just two weeks! We've loved reading your comments and social media posts on how adding lighting at Newtown Park would improve the park experience for your families. 

You may have seen that this week's edition of the Johns Creek Herald featured an article discussing our petition. In addition to this article, we've reached out to the city council, parks and rec staff, and local athletic groups to spread the word about our mission. From what I've heard, your incredible support has helped to spark renewed discussion about the Newtown Park lighting and will be brought up in future planning meetings.

Please continue to share this petition with friends and family, on social media, and with local neighbors and groups. If you haven't already, add a comment on the petition page sharing why you think lights should be added. The more support this petition receives, the more likely Johns Creek is to create funding for the lights. We will keep you updated with any future news that is released about the park.
