First off, thank you all for your support in signing this petition. It’s really amazing to see how many members of our community love and utilize this space. I wanted also to share some updates that I have received. Sarah Walz notified me that, staff has recommended deferral of the application to their October meeting. This is to allow the item to be referred back to the Parks and Recreation Commission to allow opportunity for public input. She also informed me that, the Parks and Recreation Commission might take up this issue at its September 9 meeting. This gives the community another opportunity to let our desire to preserve the park known. Thanks again for signing this petition and sharing it with your friends and neighbors.
