The cities of Helen, Cleveland, and Clarkesville get destroyed as well as subdivisions, homes, and businesses. I understand the "event" brings money to the town, but it is just a huge riot of a party. The event goers have broken into houses, stolen, waved guns at people, littered, thrown trash all over the roads, and have damaged private and public property and the roads. They are dangerous, racing on the small roads and streets, speeding, burning out, parking in the roads and blocking traffic. These people put the lives of everyone in danger. EMS, police, and fire can not get to their calls because the party blocks the roads. No one voted to have such a horrific event take place in our small county. The city of Helen only has a couple hundred parking spaces. There are over 20,000 vehicles and this disrupts everyone that lives here. The majority of business and property owners do not want Southern Worthersee to be held here.
