A quick update on Rusty: Rusty has been granted a stay from the appellate court, which prohibits him from being euthanized until the matter has been fully resolved in court. The stay was requested from Dallas Pets Alive earlier this week. Under the appeal filed by the City early last week, everything in the case should remain “as is” until the appellate court has had time to review the matter and make a determination. Please continue to contact your city government representatives on behalf of Dallas Pets Alive and Rusty and urge them to come to an agreement allowing Rusty to be sent to a sanctuary in New York.
