Installing a tower to facilitate high-speed internet in Clarence Creek

Installing a tower to facilitate high-speed internet in Clarence Creek
The Issue
Country WiFi would like to install a new tower in Clarence Creek at 1800 Labonte St ( The old water tower site ) to facilitate bringing in high-speed wireless internet to the residents of that area. Currently the only options for high speed internet are with Bell DSL and for some limited residents Bell Fibe internet has been rolled out to about 50 homes in the area with no plans to expand in the near future.
The site we are proposing is the highest point in the area and provides a perfect vantage point to service customers with speeds of up to 30Mbps, 3 times faster the current speed offerings by Bell DSL. This tower would be fed with a fiber internet circuit with a capacity of 500Mbps to sufficiently fulfill the needs for years to come of any new housing developments and and the ability to add to that capacity at any time.
There is still approximately 100 homes that are underserved or have no service whatsoever for high speed internet and the incumbent companies do not feel there is enough of a market for them to expand their service offerings at the moment.
We are asking for your support to show our council that there is a need in the area for high-speed internet that is not being met by the current companies. This towers would come at no-cost to the taxpayers (Country WiFi Inc. is funding this entire project themselves) and ensure that the community is properly setup for the coming years.
With the COVID-19 pandemic showing us that high-speed internet in today's society is not only an important source for entertainment but many people are being forced to work from home and our children will see an increasing need to be able to take courses from home.
We ask that you show us your support and let our council know that this would be a great benefit to our community.
Sincerely,
Jeff Dale
President
