On 2 August 2021, City of Port Adelaide Enfield announced (https://www.facebook.com/CityOfPAE/posts/188948809939544) they won a South Australian Government grant of $90,000 to install lights at the Osborne Skate Park to enable more use throughout the day and into the evening.

Great news for prevention of skin cancer and for shift worker accessibility!

I wrote to Councillors Carol Martin OAM of Enfield Ward and Helen Wright of Semaphore Ward with a exec summary of this pitch.

Cr Helen Wright put me in contact with the Director of City Assets and I met with them today under South side of the bridge at the intersection of Regency Road and North-South Motorway.

The Director of City Assets though the idea was great: easy retro fit on top of the existing pavers, traffic bollards, pedestrian crossings and 24 hours lights already in place with ample nearby parking.

The bottom of the lowest part of the bridge is approximately 28 feet, which would house a 14 foot vert halfpipe without riders hitting the ceiling.

The Director of City Assets said they would investigate further within Council and with Department of Infrastructure and Transport for further parameters that need to be satisfied to allow this construction to occur - pending any barriers, they would write a submission to Council prior to January 2021 to have this proposal included in 2022s Council Budget.

Positive news given the lack of interest from City of Charles Sturt, PTP Alliance and Department of Infrastructure and Transport and their colossal waste of all of our time.

Yours Faithfully,

Orren Prunckun
