Overnight the petition passed 500 signatures with a total of 536 - this great because we are finally being taken seriously!
And to demonstrate that assurance, I am finally meeting the key decision makers at 2.30pm on Friday 30 April 2021.
As I said in the last update 3-days ago, armed with 500+ signatures I can confidently say that there is a undeniable community need* for this halfpipe.
*So I'll stop nagging you to share the petition with your wheeled friends.
My question to you now:
If you were to be a naysayer to this project, what objections would you have to building this halfpipe?
Common ones I have heard so far are:
- There are more pressing community needs for the space under the bridge;
- There is already enough skateparks in Adelaide;
- It will cost too much to build;
- There will be too much noise for neighbours;
- It will bring in “bad” people to the area; and
- The height and footprint of the ramp will not fit in the space.
I have theses objections covered, but if you foresee any other objections the key decision makers may bring up, could you please email me them HERE?
From there I will be gathering all the evidence I need to address those objections and start polishing my pitch.
Like always, thanks for your support so far.
Yours faithfully,
Orren Prunckun
