Requesting support for presentation to Cambridge City Council on Oct 19 re dumping station closure

Hello everyone!

The closure of the Churchill Park RV/trailer dumping station was to be tabled at the October 5th City of Cambridge Special Council Meeting but it has been moved to October 19th. I will be submitting my request to present at this meeting as soon as the agenda is available later this week. At the moment I am permitted to speak for 5 minutes. However, if I represent a group of supporters I am permitted to speak for 15 minutes.

I informed the City Clerk's Office that I had a petition with over 300 signatures and was told that petitions don't count. That being said, if I can provide enough individual email addresses for them to verify, I might be permitted the full 15 minutes.

All this to say, if you are a Cambridge resident, I am writing to request your permission to speak on your behalf at the upcoming Special Council Meeting and ask that you send me your email address, for verification by the Cambridge City Clerk's Office. Basically, you will receive an email from a City Clerk asking you to confirm that I am speaking on your behalf. The more emails I can gather the better.

I realize this is a strange request as most of you don't know me. I do promise to only share your email address with the City Clerk's Office. My partner in crime is managing this for me so if you are interested in lending further support, please contact her at kristin.lovell@gmail.com. If you can contact her by end of day tomorrow, Oct 13, that would be ideal.

I also wanted to share that I contacted the Cambridge Times and an article came out today. As a result, our petition signatures have reached 335. Please continue to share the petition and now the article as well!

Thank you again for your ongoing support.

Shane
