Hello friends,
Thank you for your support in protecting our community against one of the largest Costco mega gas stations in the US, a 32-pump project within 640 feet of homes, which was improperly approved by Tustin City Council on October 15th by a 4 - 1 vote.
What's the latest?
Last week, we filed an appeal at the OC Superior Court. We are lucky to have a legal dream team made up of two of California's leading CEQA attorneys, Tal Finney and Bruce Tepper.
What's our next step?
Now, we need your support. It is critical to continue voicing our concerns to our Tustin city council, who have a history of ignoring their own voters. Our health and safety has to come before Costco gas.
Please help us spread the word!
We are looking for volunteers who can help us canvas Tustin homes this weekend, NOV 29 - DEC 1. What a great way to work off that Thanksgiving meal while doing something good for your neighborhood! Please let us know if you can join us -- Canvassing with flyers can be done around your own schedule and at your own pace. All volunteers are welcome!
Next City Council Meeting:
Lastly, please attend next Tuesday's city council meeting, DEC 3 at 7:00 PM at 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, where we will be making an important announcement. Tell your friends and neighbors to attend too! Our elected officials need to hear from those who are most impacted. We especially encourage our youth (yes, your kids can do this!) to speak up! If you cannot make this key DEC 3rd meeting, please visit our website to send an email to all 5 city council members, and tell them that a mega gas station does NOT belong next to our homes and schools, endangering our families, children and loved ones.
Thanks again!
