Dustin James was raised here in Beacon by a family known to give back to the community. Not surprising, their values of serving others passed on to Dustin who grew up to become a dedicated police officer serving Walden, Montgomery and Fishkill.  

Dustin James was a Beaconite who's young life was cut short due to a tragic accident. At 31 years old, Dustin was on a motorcycle and struck by a car that ran a stop sign.  

This petition stands for Dustin, for his family and friends, for the impact Dustin made to this community and the communities he served as an officer. This petition stands to support in keeping Dustin's bench in place. 
 
His smile, his laugh, his dedication to serving others is what this bench represents.
