Following the recent announcement on granting OWP on AOR to inland sponsored spouses, CIC still struggles to deliver their commitment, including reduced processing time, transparency, CIC call centre agents's mandate to provide competent and truthful information to the public, etc. The processing time for Approval in Principle, as of December 30 2014, is still minimum 16 months and does not make any noticeable progress over the past months. The pilot project was launched officially on December 22 2014, but the public has been continuously misinformed by CIC agents about the criteria, and there are a number of cases where files are misplaced/lost/returned at CIC's mismanagement faults but the applicants are being held responsible. Due to these issues, we decide to launch a new petition to call on an official audit for CIC operational network responsible for processing Inland spousal sponsorship by Office of Auditor General of Canada.
