Inland SponsorshipEdmonton, AB, Canada
Dec 27, 2014
According to a report published on CBC Saskatchewan on December 24 2014, in an email, CIC told CBC that work permits for applicants in the existing inventory will be processed in a couple weeks, however no specific date was given. CIC says it will contact applicants to confirm whether or not they want to be included in this pilot, or applicants can call CIC, if they want to take a proactive approach. We hope that CIC will be able to deliver its commitment and all the qualified spousal sponsorship files that were accompanied by an Open Work Permit applications will be blitzed in the new year. Anyone who is unsure about qualification for the pilot program is encouraged to call CIC directly at 1-888-242-2100 to make sure that the OWP has been properly attached to the Permanent Residency application, that your individual file is a part of the pilot program and any address change or personal contact information should be updated. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/american-husband-qualifies-for-work-permit-after-year-long-residency-wait-1.2883823
