The petition has been mailed to The Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee today. Later this month they will be reviewing this years recommendations. If selected, their selections will be made public, and it will be another 3 years before the stamp is released. I'd like to thank the over 200+ people who have signed and/or mailed in a letter expressing their desire in seeing a Dewey Brown Heritage Stamp. While each and every one of you are important, I'd like to publicly acknowledge Senator Bucco (NJ), Senator Davis (NC), and Senator McKissick (NC) for taking time out of their schedule to send a letter of support. Additionally, I'd like to thank The Black Golfers Hall of Fame, The National Negro Golf Association, and members of IATSE Local 728 for adding their voice to this project. Also, thank you Jason Campbell for donating your own money to promote this campaign. Finally, I'd like to thank my Great Grandfather, Dewey Brown, for being a shining exsample for my family, and all those following in his path. Along with my Grandfather, Roland M. Brown Sr., my family, and all those who continue to keep Dewey Brown's story alive! I'm truly humbled by all your support, and will continue to advocate for the recognition Dewey Brown deserves.
