The Montana Nelson Ready Mix Concrete Batch Plant is planning to build a new facility in a residential area of Old River. The proposed location is off of FM 565, between FM 1409 and the Carriage Trails neighborhood. Numerous concerns include hazardous dust particulate, an increase in traffic from concrete trucks along our two lane roads, noise pollution, and a precedent set for allowing industrial businesses to take up space in residential areas. Please sign our petition and help us send a clear message to the city of Old River, Chambers County, and MN Ready Mix-- industrial businesses do not belong in residential areas!  Our goal is two-fold. First, we want to stop the construction of this batch plant. Additionally, we hope to prompt the Old River city council to adopt a city ordinance banning concrete batch plants.
