The City of Laguna Niguel prepared an airport noise study dated 11-27-2018 and will present the study at a City Council workshop meeting on December 18, 2018 at 5:30 pm.
The meeting will be held at City Hall, within the City Council Chambers, located at 30111 Crown Valley Parkway, Laguna Niguel, 92677. All interested parties are invited to attend. The City’s consultant, HMMH, will be in attendance to answer questions related to the noise monitoring study.
Citizens for No Plane Noise urges you to attend and express your concerns that the study falls short of resolving the noise concerns expressed by the community that the planes are no “concentrated on a “track” and are occurring at 80 to 95-times per day as compared to prior to a lower occurrence prior to the 2016 NextGEN project.
We appreciate the study by the City of Laguna Niguel but note that the noise data is omitted when two planes occur at the same time and it fails to compare noise occurrences prior to NextGen in 2016 versus the current Noise nor the future noise as the planes start to increase each year.
The study states that the “Overall, the aircraft noise levels measured by HMMH at both locations are on average close to the corresponding community noise levels.” This seems to mean that thee is no problem with he added noise from the airport.
Do you agree? If you are angered by the added jet noise, please attend.
