Canberra  CIT Bruce has 250 over 55 yrs fitness class members as well as hundreds more who attend the gym.

From 20th April 26 the CIT has

• reduced fitness classes from 5days to 4days
• reduced classes from 19 hrs of classes /week to 12hrs
• Completely eliminated yoga and high intensity classes
• Removed Gym access on weekends  and public holidays
   
  Because of these reductions there are now extended waiting lists for classes even one week ahead.  
  
  The classes started in 2010 and are a vital part of fitness and recovery from serious illness and operations like heart issues etc. for over 55 years. Social contact on a regular basis is also an important part of the classes.
• Similar programs for seniors are either not available or affordable in Canberra
•  We seek support from  the community to reinstate the cancelled programs and to guarantee future funding for the programs
