On May 3, 2022, we sent an urgent letter to Governor Phil Murphy and several elected officials, expressing our concerns. A letter to Governor Phil Murphy and Acting Commissioner of the NJ Department of Education regarding remote learning option followed. We have yet to receive a response on this pressing matter. Initial test results are still not in, in spite of the request from Mayor McCormac, Dr. Massimino, and others, for them to be expedited. We have close to 4,000 signatures on our petition, Congressman Pallone has stepped in from an environmental perspective, with a call for further testing, and the Woodbridge Township Education Association (WTEA) has stepped in on behalf of a concerned staff. This story has been all over various news outlets, yet we still don’t have answers. Our request for a response has been ignored. Our request for a meeting has been denied. What is it going to take for us to be taken seriously? We need to keep fighting for our children, our educators, and our community as a whole.
