I finally have a Victory for myself with the help of all you Petition supporters. I thank all of you for signing this petition which no doubt helped in settling this issue for me and hopefully for all of you MY14 Laredo owners. On Monday, Frankston Jeep kindly offered me an MY14 "Update Camera Fix" which I accepted. It was fitted and the quality difference is amazing. The sad thing is that it should have been original equipment in the first place instead of this substandard camera. From the inference of the dealer it seems that no retro fitting will take place for the early delivery MY14 Laredo's. Their reasoning is that it was best technology at the time and that is what is provided. I totally disagree with that proposition as the MY11/12 camera was a far superior one to that which was originally supplied for the MY14 Laredo. The technology went backwards with the MY14 and it, in my belief, was based solely on costs. Therefore I suggest all dissatisfied MY14 Laredo owners with the substandard reverse camera should actively approach their dealer and also the Jeep Customer Service phone line (ask for a Reference Number as well) and state your case as I have done.
