Hi everyone,
With everything that’s happened over the past couple of months, you might think the Religious Discrimination Bill has gone away.
Wrong.
While the Morrison government has been focused on dealing with COVID-19, this incredibly divisive bill has just been put on the backburner. Government figures like Eric Abetz are saying they’re still committed to passing it through Parliament.
Thanks to your support, this petition has reached an amazing 123,000 signatures – more than I could have imagined.
We need to harness that people power to tell the Morrison government that Australians do not want this divisive bill to become law. That’s why I’m joining forces with the #DontDivideUs campaign.
#DontDivideUs is delivering a strong message to Canberra – dump this bill, once and for all.
These hurtful laws would make it easier for people to impose their beliefs on others and discriminate against their fellow Australians. If you still want to fight religious discrimination, please join the #DontDivideUs campaign here and tell Scott Morrison that Australians need unity, not hate speech disguised as religious freedom.
Thank you for your support! Let’s defeat this bill together.
