Victory! Finally my sister Anne-Marie Culleton’s rapist murderer Jonathan Bakewell’s parole was cancelled on Tuesday after his 6th arrest for breaching parole by taking drugs.  I've been fighting for over 2 years to have his parole cancelled and it's finally happened!

Unfortunately it's a hollow victory, because despite being a life sentence prisoner, Bakewell will be able to get a new non-parole period set and then he can reapply for parole every 12 months. So I will have to fight every year for the rest of his (or my) life to keep him behind bars and to keep the community safe.

This is why my national law reform campaign for murder with sexual assault to be made a stand alone offence, carrying a mandatory life sentence with no parole is so vital.

If you haven't signed this petition yet, please do and also share if you can. Together we can make our country safer for women and children. #EnoughIsEnough #LifeForRapistMurderers
