I am thrilled to share that Maggie Gee has been selected for induction into the California Hall of Fame!

She will be inducted this year among a class that includes other luminaries such as Etta James and Carrie Fisher.

It is extremely fulfilling seeing Maggie be honored in this way and I think California is lucky to count her among its distinguished citizens (past and present)!

Of course, my hope is that this honor will also support our efforts to have Oakland Airport renamed after this amazing trailblazer and to make Maggie Gee Oakland International Airport the first major US airport named after a woman.
