Dear Amazing Supporters,

First, THANK you for taking the time to sign my petition. Thank you for sharing with friends and family. We have now gathered over 2,000 signatures! Thank you!

Second, I'm very happy to say that your time signing the petition was time well spent, because all together we attracted some great media attention. The last 24 hours have seen a flurry of attention on our campaign.

This morning an article appeared in The East Bay Times (https://www.eastbaytimes.com/2018/10/22/rename-oakland-airport-petition-seeks-to-recognize-trailblazing-berkeley-pilot/ This led to a piece on ABC 7 news (https://abc7news.com/society/effort-to-rename-oakland-international-airport-underway/4536124/ and an interview on the 11 o'clock news (which should be posted soon).

The momentum is building! Let's keep it up.

Please continue to share the petition far and wide. Share and re-post the news pieces so people can learn more about our campaign.

If you would like to receive more frequent updates about the campaign, please email maggiegeeairport@gmail.com and I will put you on our mailing list.

My grandmother, Elaine Danforth Harmon and a fellow Women Airforce Service Pilot of Maggie Gee, always signed her correspondence "Carpe Diem" ("Seize the Day"). Let's seize the day! Together we can see the first major US airport named for a woman come to be!

Carpe diem,

Tiffany
