Dear Chris Krebs, 

Thank you for your dedication to making this country more secure, but also opening the door to having greater transparency and representation of those who work in security. We are incredibly thankful for your service as the Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).  

We've watched you roll up your sleeves to spread knowledge and decrease misinformation surrounding cybersecurity. At times, you've even chosen to respectfully persuade fellow colleagues and legislators to understand the security community with a great deal of empathy and insight.

It is because of you and your team that we had a free and fair election. You also cut through false statements and misinformation to bring more transparency in our election process. At times, you had to take courageous actions because you were guided with a moral compass. 

We watched. We read. We witnessed. We respect it. 

It is because of you that there is now a door for independent researchers of the ethical hacker community, which has yielded timely insight on emerging threats and actionable intelligence to the forefront. By pushing for disclosure policies, you have pushed for bilateral trust between organizations and the hacker community to make the United States safer. 

Thank you again for your loyalty and dedication. You are truly the leader that we've all wanted to lead the country into a better, safer nation.
