We appreciate that the Governor and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (“NJDOT”) are in the process of a major construction project to rebuild Route 35 and the utility infrastructure on the barrier island.  We are aware of the Governor’s strong commitment to rebuild the Jersey Shore.  With this petition we hope that the Governor, the Commissioner and the staff will recognize the difficulty of our situation and respond to our situation.   

            Lavallette and it the surrounding Jersey Shore communities whose businesses rely almost entirely on tourism and our summer residents cannot survive without the income generated during the summer season.

Please help us get the word out and Say NO to NJ Route 35 construction through the Summer - Restore the Shore as if People Matter.
