Unfair and unorganized tickets selling in Chile.

Chileans Backstreet Boys fans waited for long 21 years for their favorite group to come back to The VIÑA DEL MAR FESTIVAL.

In all those 21 years of waiting, there have been many campaigns, petitions, and other types of resources been used for taking them back to our country.

Thanks to God, and the effort of many real fans, they have come back to Chile, always obtaining a great response from their fans and the Chilean media.

However, our goal was getting them back to The Viña del Mar Festival, because we want them to perform in the most important Latin-American festival once again, and also because we, as fans, deserve the chance for enjoying a wonderful concert, as only the BSB can perform.

Now, the point of this petition:

A couple of days ago, the tickets sale for The Viña del Mar Festival corresponding to the 28 of February were made available.

Pre-sale was chaos. Only 30% of the tickets were available, and only for people member of a specific Chilean phone company. However, the tickets were sold out in less than 5 minutes. People waited for hours online, waiting for the page to work, only to find out that there were no more available tickets.

The next day, all the rest of the tickets were made available (70%), here below a summary of what happened:

- Availability for buying the tickets was from noon.

- People waiting in a physical line, outside different selling points in diverse Chilean regions. People waited from 02:00 am, knowing that the opening for the selling was from noon.

- There was one only one way of buying the tickets online, and this platform did not work well at all!

- From the time when the page opened the sale, fans tried to get their tickets, only to find themselves in a forever online line.

- People waited for one hour or even more, only to get threw out of the page.

- Some fans got to go into the page, where you can select sits, only to see that there were not sits available or that the few that were available, appeared as reserved.

- Even if they were on the page, got their sits, at the moment of paying they got an error message, which pushed them out of the page.

- On a moment, there was a virtual line of about 48000 fans, waiting to buy a ticket. When the capacity for the arena is only of 15000 people.

- People waiting in the physical line never got to buy their ticket, with the exception of 3 to 5 people. The system was down. Even if they waited from 2 am the night before, they did not get a single ticket!

- People waited several hours on the virtual line, only to get in and see a "sold out" message.

And if that is not enough, two more greater problems happened:
- People who got to buy the tickets, later at night got to see that their money was returned to them. Meaning, that the transaction was unsuccessful.

- People bought tickets, getting a confirmation e-mail hours later, saying that they bought tickets for another date and not the one corresponding to the 28 of February. This was a system error, and it was not a mistake made by the fans.

It was solid unorganized chaos. We know that the Chilean people and platforms are not ready for this kind of response from fans, but they had to know that something like this was going to happen.

Re-sellers got to buy from 10 tickets or more. Now, those tickets are being sold by other sites to stratospheric prices. Some amounting more than a million Chilean pesos, when the most expensive ticket was only 236 thousand Chilean pesos. We are talking of four to five times the original price! And even if you do not believe it, fans are still buying it.

This petition goes directly to the heart of the Backstreet Boys members.

You know that you have the best fans of the world here in Chile. People have been waiting for you to come back to Viña for 21 years, it is not possible that now when it happens, the real fans don't get to enjoy it.

I don't know what can be done, I leave that up to you Howie, Nick, Brian, Kevin, and A.J. But please,  you have to do something for all of those fans, we are talking about people following you since the beginning of times. They deserve to have a chance to enjoy your presence too.

Maybe, a meet&greet, for people who can prove that they were waiting in line (physical or online).  A mini concert for them, I don't know what you can do, but something has to happen. Something has to be done, because the Chilean fans do not deserve this!
