Hello,

I wanted to personally say thank you again for signing and supporting the campaign to protect childminders from losing the 10% wear and tear allowance. Your support has already helped this issue gain attention from MPs, the media, and other professionals across the sector.

I’m really pleased to share some important news.

The official government petition is now live.

This is a huge step, because unlike independent petitions, this one forces a response from the government once it reaches the required number of signatures. It means this issue can no longer be ignored.

We now have two campaigns working together: • The original Change.org petition, which has built awareness and momentum

• The official parliamentary petition, which requires a government response at 10,000 signatures

Together, these give us a real chance to protect childminders, small settings, and the families who rely on flexible, home-based childcare.

If you can, please take a moment to sign the government petition here:

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/754843

And if you’re able to share it with friends, family, colleagues, or parent groups, that would mean so much. Every signature helps show how important this is to communities across the country.

Thank you again for standing with us and for helping keep childminding sustainable.

Warmest regards,

Ashleigh Crouch
